Si hay muchas lugares para visitar en La Serena y alrededor pero todo es muy turistico. Dinero es mas importante cosa que amistad. Pero si, lugares son muy bonita, linda.
It is significant that tourism is one of the main and comperatively easiest way of making money.
La Serena es is a nice place to relax and enjoy. Having some wine in Pisco Elqui, star gazing in Vicuna and Humbolt Penguins, Dolphins, Whales and Islands. Alot of possibility to do.
ELQUI VALLEY
Very nice one day tour along the Valley. A lot of wineries and Pisco factories. Where the constitution of Chile cooked (as the guide explains). 🙂
Beautiful scenery along the way. Mountains.
GABRIELA MISTRAL (Museum and house)
Gabriela Mistral is the first chilean who get Nobel Prize in 1945. She was coming a very poor family. She devoted her life to her country and education. The small house and memories of her is tried to be lived by her country.

This part of the worl is less humid and has clear sky nearly everyday. For this reason the world’s famous observatories are vlocated in Northern Chile. You may go the same kind of star gazing in San Pedro de Atacama as well.
HUMBOLT PENGUINS and SEALIONS
This time those are not in my list. Since I went pinguenera in Ancud and saw a lot in Patagonia… But you may have a (last) chance to see penguens in La Serena.
